Founded in 2006 by brothers, Hugo and Gus Lacey, Raglan Drilling started out with one air-core rig and has since expanded to a 12 rig operation.
With dedication and a hands on approach, Raglan Drilling has achieved a reputation for delivering a high standard of safety, service and sample quality.
Our specialist exploration team have many years of industry experience. The management team includes our Directors, Operations Manager, Workshop Manager, HSET Manager, Drill Supervisors and Senior Drillers.
Hugo has over 14 years drilling experience across all types of exploration drilling: RAB, Air Core, Reverse Circulation and Diamond and has worked in varied geology and geographic locations. As a hands-on director, Hugo is always working with the rigs and drillers ensuring that our high standards of safety, production and quality sample delivery are maintained.
Gus has over 14 years drilling experience with RAB, Air Core, Reverse Circulation and Diamond. Starting out in the mining industry as a geologist and has experience with running resource definition programmes, grade control drilling, grade control modelling and ore extraction. Gus has drilling experience from both sides of the industry. He understands issues relating to poor sample recovery, hole deviation and the effects it can have on resource estimation, head grade, block model calculations and dilution. These skills contribute to the successful operation and are continually communicated to drillers and offsiders.
Cammeron is a second-generation driller with over 20 years of drilling experience. He is a valued member of the Raglan Drilling’s management team.
Prior to working with Raglan Drilling, Cammeron spent 9 years managing Goldfire Drilling, where he developed an excellent skillset to manage our drilling team.
